Bonaire - the B in the ABC island chain, which consists of Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao - is located in the Southern Caribbean, 50 miles (80 km) north of Venezuela. The island has a modern airport, and various international airlines travel regularly to Bonaire from North America, South America, Europe and nearby islands.

Bonaire covers 115 square miles (288 square kilometers), is 24 miles (38 km) long, 3 (7 km) to 7 miles (11 km) across and has only 12,000 inhabitants. With average temperatures ranging from 80°-86° F (26-30°C), low rainfall of 21 inches (53 cm) annually (below the hurricane belt), and a water temperature of 80° F (26°C), Bonaire is a perfect island to enjoy snorkeling, scuba diving, para-sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, sailing, and deep-sea fishing.

For those preferring land sports, tennis, horseback riding, climbing, bird watching, biking and hiking are available all around the island. Accommodations, dining and entertainment encompass everything from A to Z. Small Dutch inns, casinos, a disco, and excellent ocean front restaurants await your arrival.

Rental cars and many island tours are available daily. Nestled between main land Venezuela and Aruba, Bonaire serves up the best that the Caribbean has to offer. This clean and well organized island is a master at showing off her Dutch roots while remaining true to the Caribbean's laid back, "no problem" attitude. Her sunshine is ample and her small beaches range from secluded strips to topless resort beaches much like the south of France.
